About
Prof. Dr. Tevfik Ceyhan is a faculty member at Ege University, Faculty of Fisheries. He completed his bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees at Ege University; having begun his academic career as a research assistant in 1999, he has been serving as a full professor since 2022.
His research focuses on large pelagics (swordfish, bluefin tuna, tunas), small-scale coastal fisheries, fisheries biology, population dynamics, CPUE standardization, and ecological interactions between sea-cage fish farms and wild fish assemblages. Modeling and analysis of fisheries data using the R programming language has been among his core areas of expertise in recent years.
Having participated in numerous international scientific meetings, most notably the International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT), Ceyhan has published extensively in national and international journals, authored book chapters, and led multiple research projects. He currently serves as Head of the Department of Fishing and Fish Processing Technologies at Ege University, Faculty of Fisheries.
Beyond his academic work, he pursues black-and-white street and portrait photography as an amateur, and makes time for running.
