When a paper comes out, it is mostly my colleagues who read it. Here I tell the same studies in plain language, so that anyone interested in the sea and fisheries can read them.

  1. Same shell, different growth: why do female and male blue crabs Callinectes sapidus gain weight differently?

    The 197 blue crabs we measured in Azmak Stream, Seferihisar, showed that males and females follow different carapace width–weight relationships, and that a single equation can bias biomass estimates.
